THENAMARIS signs-up with SpecTec
The contract was signed on 28th May 2010 between Thenamaris (Ships Management) Inc. and SpecTec Limited. The contract supplying AMOS Software for an initial number of vessels, with the possibility of consequently expanding the delivery to all the vessels in Thenamaris fleet.
The scope of the contract includes software licenses, maintenance and support, database construction, implementation and training.
Thenamaris is one of the world’s leading independent ship management companies providing quality management services of the highest standard to the owners of sizeable ocean-going vessels. Founded more than 40 years ago in Athens, Greece Thenamaris today is a large scale, World Class Company managing a large fleet of modern tankers and bulk carriers, mostly built after the year 2000, of an overall tonnage of about four million tons deadweight.
A quarter of a century ago, when IT was only just emerging as a constituent of the shipping industry SpecTec foresaw the future and now continues to pioneer the shipping IT sector. Specialized in the offering of software and services in the field of Asset Management, SpecTec has developed its own software AMOS (Asset Management Operating System) which allows operation and control of all Technical and Documentation aspects in the fields of: Maintenance, Spare Parts and Stock Control, Purchasing and Procurement, Quality and Safety Documentation Management, Voyage Management, Personnel Management. The agreement between the two companies was achieved in close collaboration with S.R.H. Marine Electronics S.A., the sole authorized distributor of AMOS in Greece. S.R.H. is a well-established company in the maritime market, offering full services on sales and technical support for Navigation, Communication, Safety and other marine equipment.
